Happy July! Summer is flying by so quickly…time to live it up! We’re packing up Betty for a long weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I simply love camping, from the packing and menu prepping to the last crackling campfire and everything in between. The days I wait for all year long are HERE. It hasn’t been the easiest month for us, but truly, life is good. Here are a few things that brought a smile to my face this week.
A beautiful shot from the trail, courtesy of John.
My (messy-ish) work space.
We had a huge, booming thunderstorm this week!
Grilled pizza with chorizo, roasted corn and poblano peppers, jalapeño, gruyere, and roasted garlic.
I have this.
Momentary motorhome envy. Sorry, Betty!
Loaded chicken taco salad.
Another shot that John sent me from a hike. Glorious!
These huge lilies have made the kitchen smell heavenly for days.
She hasn’t caught any chipmunks yet, but she did catch a TICK. Barf.
Simple and scrumptious bruschetta with charred bread for happy hour with friends!
Cholula dressed up for company.
My sweet parents celebrated 42 years of marriage this week. How amazing is that?
John’s specialty: spicy tomato and herb pasta with shrimp. YUM.
I’m happy to see lots of bees buzzing around these purple things in the garden. #savethebees
My favorite summertime meal: heirloom tomato and cheddar toastettes.
Cholula is happy that Mama is back on the trails!
One year ago, John and I snuck away to Sundance Resort.
Two years ago, we were wrapping up an incredible week in Bozeman and Wade Lake.
Three years ago, I was joyfully hula-hooping at my BFF Sarah’s wedding!
Four years ago, Nancy was introducing us to the ways of Bozeman.
And this is where I sipped my coffee this morning.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
One year ago: Sangria, two ways!
