And just like that, another month has gone by. It feels like I’m in a constant time warp, but I have a feeling that’s just how life goes with a baby! So much has happened over the last few weeks: John’s first Father’s Day, Oden’s first plane flight, a couple of summer weddings, a couple of al fresco dinner parties, hikes with Cholula, a baby-free date night. Someone told me once that when you have a child, the days are long but the years are short. I need to try to remember that when my patience grows thin and my tired-o-meter is high. These are the best days of our lives! Take a peek at some of the happy moments from the last few weeks.
The yard is stunning this year! Spring showers bring summer flowers.
Fourth grade memories.
He’s into bigger diapers…again.
Yard time with my babies. Look at Oden’s little rat tail hair style!
Oden’s favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar from his sweet cousin.
Looking up during a hike.
John donated a bike at SLC’s Bicycle Collective!
Lap situation 90% of the time.
Summer days on the patio.
Be still, my heart!
Date night smile!
Oden wore Daddy’s favorite onesie on Father’s Day!
He also got a print framed for a Father’s Day gift for John. He’s a very thoughtful baby.
Oden’s growth, as shown in diapers. *tears*
NOBODY MOVE. Zzzzzzzzzzz
We have really been enjoying Blue Apron meals! I’ll have to share more about that soon.
Someone turned himself diagonal!
Super hot.
Room service in our Colorado Springs hotel was delightful!
My little roly poly barely fit in the hotel sink for a bath.
What 6:30am on vacation looks like these days.
Long’s Peak in Estes Park, Colorado.
Wedding table situation.
He adores Daddy!
Full table = warm heart!
A typical wildflower scene on my hikes these days.
I made a refreshing summertime salad, coming your way soon!
Boys watching golf on a Sunday.
One year ago, I was on a boat with my folks on Vallecito Lake!
Two years ago, this was my view for morning coffee.
Three years ago, we called this cabin near Bozeman home for a few days!
Four years ago, we fed a lot of people a lot of BBQ chicken.
Five years ago, we were biking down Main Street in Durango after Sarah‘s wedding!
Six years ago, we were rodeo-ing in Livingston, Montana and Sydney was tiny.
And today, it’s been hard not to smile with this little nugget as my companion!
You know. Just the usual bliss.

HE IS SO CUTE. I LOVE YOU GUYS.
Love and miss you, too!
I love reading your Bliss Bits and seeing these photos. This past week has been really tough and I needed the smile.
I can only imagine what you’ve been through. I’m so sad for you, Emily! RIP sweet Boomer!
Thanks Amber, I appreciate it. We’re slowly settling into a new normal.
Love the Usual Bliss! Turning diagonal? Just wait until you lose your baby — when he rolls for the first time under the bed. LOL
Happy times, Lady.
