This week’s batch of Bliss Bits is a little later than usual, mostly because I had a last minute solo road trip to Bozeman this week. (When one of your dearest friends has been living in the Middle East and travels 52 hours to be in Montana for a few days, you make the 7 hour drive.) Before and after my short time with Sarah, I had a lot of time in the car to ponder the year ahead (and sing loudly to 80s music). Do you remember to pause and recognize the (many) good things in life? Here are some of mine this week.
A beautiful birthday orchid from a friend.
John makes the BEST breakfasts!
An eerie morning hike in the fog.
Snow day hot pot at Shabu Shabu!
John sends me shots like this from his ski hikes. #luckygirl
I tried a new biscuit recipe…and put fried chicken on them. Stay tuned.
Apparently, chicken biscuits pack well for mid-ski snacks!
A view from a sunny hike in the ‘hood. I spy Cholula. Do you?
Post-hike “cave” time under the bed.
Driving through Montana in the winter is very different than in summer.
I boogied during the drive!
Just like at home!
Obsessed with this old stove.
Love this sticker.
Sarah and I spent a night at the Gallatin River Lodge. It was amazing!
Also amazing: the unicorn mug I gave Sarah.
Montana sunrise.
Sweet Macy rocking Liza to sleep.
One year ago, Amanda was here for Sundance!
Two years ago, Vanessa was here for Sundance!
Three years ago, we were getting ready to move to Park City with this chubby nugget.
And this is the current situation on my bed.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
