If there was ever a time to pause and recognize the happy things in our lives, it’s now: Thanksgiving Eve. My best friend and I have been talking about how important it is to really recognize this holiday before diving into Christmas madness. She’s been talking with her young daughters about gratitude and contentment. I think the word “gratitude” is a tad over-used these days, but it’s no secret that I believe in its power. So before the tryptophan kicks in, count your blessings… there are many.
A very happy Hot Hubby hunting birds in Eastern Oregon.
Check out my stacks.
Did you see how easy it was to make a homemade pie crust?
My brother and I hit the No Name Saloon before he went home.
Brilliant marketing for a waxing salon called Lunchbox.
Chilly on the home front.
Snowbird and I are about the same age!
While John skied, I enjoyed this beautiful room service breakfast in my robe and slippers.
I had a view of frosted Christmas trees.
Please don’t.
A few of our neighbors were out for a stroll the other night.
Can you find Cholula?
My trails are looking a little different these days.
A perfect Sunday morning.
Snow hikes have begun!
One year ago, we spent a glorious holiday with dear friends in West Marin.
We also saw Pearl Jam live!
Two years ago, Turkey Day was in Durango with my folks. I also hung out with this nugget!
Three years ago, I was Gone With the Wind-ing on a beautiful southern plantation.
He crashed at least once.
Four years ago, I was wine-tasting with my folks while Mr. Turkey browned.
And here’s the view from my desk right now.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
