It’s official.
I’m forever part of a team. A “Mrs.” John’s wife.
Our weekend of joy started with a big snowstorm, and it is being extended with family in town longer than planned due to Hurricane Sandy. While we are praying for all to be OK for everyone back East, we are super happy for the extra time with them.
I don’t have lots of time in these few days between “I do” and “What kind of cocktails do they make in Tahiti?”, but I thought I’d share just a few photos from both the welcome dinner (a proper Southern shrimp boil) and the wedding (let’s just say that we put on a good party).
I have never felt so much love!
I’ll have so much to share with you, after the wonderful chaos dies down a bit. For now, I have family to spend time with, a new last name to get used to, a wedding band to show off, and a honeymoon to pack for.
Last night, I mentioned to my new father-in-law that I was starting to feel a little bit sad that it was all over. And he said to me, “No, no. This is just the beginning.”
