Have I mentioned that I’m getting married?
On the top of a ski run at Sundance Resort, in the January sunshine, my friend of over a decade got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was my birthday.
Today’s Photo-a-Day prompt is simply, “Love.”
At this stage in my life, nothing embodies that word to me more than the commitment we made to each other that day in the snow.
This glorious ring is the token that John offered to symbolize our agreement to embark on this journey together. Even though our wedding date isn’t until this fall, we made a deal with each other the day I said, “Yes.”
No relationship is without struggle, and I certainly know firsthand that marriage can be very hard. This man is ready and willing to take my hand and face the challenges ahead of us. What a wonderful and hopeful place to be in life. That is love.
And the party in October is going to rock.
One of my favs so far…so encouraging and beautiful! A reminder to stay hopeful…so sending thanks for that:)

Such a lovely couple! I wish you nothing but the best!
Thank you so much! We’re excited.
Beautiful ring!!! The band is gorgeous!
Thank you so much! The ring he proposed with was his grandmother’s and too big for me. Unfortunately, it was too fragile to be resized, so we used the stones and created a new setting. I really wanted to have the feel of the original ring and keep the vintage look. I love it. 🙂
It looks vintage!! Congratulations 🙂
