Well, this week has been pretty wonderful. It feels fabulous to finally share our big news publicly, and the outpouring of love we have received has been magical! Somehow, Baby Howe feels more real. This is happening. In addition, I’ve been feeling so much more like myself again (aside from one unfortunate nausea-filled 24-hour date with the bathroom floor). Throw in a milestone achievement for John at work, some rusty fall colors on the hillsides, and the anticipation of an itinerary-less 10-day road trip, and I’m a happy girl. Some weeks, it’s easier to stop and smell the roses because they seem to be everywhere. Welcome, September. Here’s a handful of smiles!
Late summer in the neighborhood.

Guys, I just find her like this.
Idaho, we’re coming for you this Friday!
Did you see my Labor Day feature on AOL Lifestyle’s Food section?
One year ago, we were celebrating 90 years of Grandpa!
Two years ago, I was missing Betty terribly.
Three years ago, we spent Labor Day at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird.
Four years ago, we were still on the road in Betty, tasting wine a friend’s vineyard in Oregon!
And today, I’m taking a deep breath.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
One year ago: Almost autumn.

BABY BUMP YEEH
First of all, you are glowing in that bump picture! So sweet! Second, I have major earring envy!
I’d forgotten what I had until I cleaned up the area- probably like you cleaning up your closet!
Beautiful Captures – loving the baby bump 🙂 What is that on the car behind you in that pic – a flying gherkin with googly eyes?!? Happy Day – Enjoy!
It was a soybean! RANDOM.
That is the sweetest little bump EVER. You look so beautiful and so very happy. Sending you love!
Um that bump is nothing compared to what is going on now. I guess it’s really GAME ON at this point! Bring on the elastic waist pants!
