It’s the quiet time of year around here: a post-holiday, mid-winter calm. Life is a pleasant cycle of hiking, cooking, writing, and reading, on repeat (with a couple of Sundance Film Festival movies thrown in). It kind of feels like nothing too exciting is going on, but there’s happiness in each day. Plus, we have all sorts of fun to look forward to this weekend: a visit from my brother and his lady and an ever-growing Super Bowl party! Even when it’s slow, life is good.
