Over the course of a few days, the deep green hillsides in Park City have warmed into a mottled patchwork of orange and red. Labor Day fanfare has come and gone, and September is here. It’s my favorite time of year, the glorious months leading up to our anniversary, holiday festivities, and our birthdays. Perhaps I’m feeling a little nostalgic this week because my Grandpa will be blowing out 90 birthday candles in a few days. Life is good- celebrate it. Here’s what made me smile this week!
There’s Gramps, with his tattooed arm around mini me on the Dumbo ride at Disneyland circa 1979!

One year ago, we were cheating on Betty in a tent (and regretting it).
Two years ago, summer and fall were battling for first place. Summer was losing.
Three years ago, we were still on our 5-week Betty trip, making footprints on a vast Washington beach.
Four years ago, Sarah and I were enjoying the Bloody Mary bar at Park Silly!
And this morning, I’m packing up 45 Ranger cookies for a weekend of camping!
You know. Just the usual bliss.

Those photos of John and Cholula are so precious. They could be made into the cutest Father’s Day card. 🙂
