It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday!
As I sit at my desk, the patio door is open and the sweet song of some neighborhood birds is my soundtrack. Some days, every little thing makes you smile. Here are the little bits of happiness from the last week!
First, I was honored by fellow bloggers with two awards this week. Thank you to The Girl Who Blogs and The Traveluster for including me in your lists- it means so much!
Now, on to the bits…
The springtime sky has been lovely lately.
Sweet Winnebago! Daydreaming about the season’s Betty adventures.
This 1961 ‘Vette sounded even better than it looked. **Swoon.**
Nose lick!
Lemon zest made this pasta super fresh!
I was pretty excited about this braid.
Weather warm enough to kick it in the backyard!
I spy a beggar. (The ears get me every time.)
A hiking dog is a happy dog.
Hot hubby got to go zip-lining on his business trip!
Gluten-free brownies are healthy, right?
Teensy periwinkle flowers are everywhere right now.
Spring storm ahead.
It’s like “Where’s Waldo?”…but with Cholula. Do you see her?
View from my desk.
Prettied-up toes and bare legs! (I need a tan.)
Beautiful tulip petals.
Date night prep! So over the bangs…
Reason 894 why I love John: he sings along to YAZ.
I woke up to this today.
Morning coffee. Life is good.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
**Follow me on Instagram (@mrshowiepc) for more bliss-y bits!**
I spy a Cholula in a field! She does a great job hiding, much better than Boomer did in his Where’s Boomer photo. And, zip lining on a business trip, lucky boy, what does he do where he gets that perk?
That trip was with a company called Elemental Herbs, which makes all sorts of plant and herb based lip balms, salves, sunscreens, etc. GOOD STUFF! He’s on their board of advisors.
What an awesome job, it sounds like a lot of fun.
Love your photos. And that is definitely one happy dog!
French braids are, in my opinion, one of the best things women have ever discovered. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating. I do know that I love them and rely upon them heavily, though!
How did I not know that your backyard was tons upon tons or rolling sage? So beautiful. I am missing the mountains/desert/everything about the West pretty badly right now.
I know you’re over the bangs, but they sure do look cute. Keep ’em or cut ’em?
I’ve never been good at braiding my own hair- maybe it’s just longer than usual right now.
Our property backs up to open space, so no one gets to be back there but the elk! I’ve been wondering how life has been treating you these days…
I have a hair appt on Saturday. I won’t know whether to cut or keep until then… 🙂
Keep until then and let your hairdresser decide 🙂 Well, if they’re a trustworthy one!
We’re good in MO, just got internet in our bunkhouse so I’m hogging the hardwire until we get a router up here. I don’t think I have ever been so excited to feel CONNECTED again! Three cheers for technology 🙂
I miss elk, too! Yeesh.
I’ve been going to the same hair guy since 2002. He rocks!
Looking forward to your updates now that you’re connected- I bet it was a nice break for awhile. 🙂
Took me a while but I did FINALLY spot your pup on the hill! Also, is it just me or is your hair getting long?! You should be proud of that braid, my 7 year old daughter can braid better than I can!
Oh and also, of course gluten free brownies are good for you, two is probably double good for you. And that tongue lick just made my day!!
The frozen Amy’s GF brownies were really good!!
My hair is WICKED long right now, yes! I may or may not have had to try a few times before the braid actually happened…
