Whoa! Labor Day weekend, already? That unofficial end to summer creeped up on us, didn’t it? We’ve got a chill in the air in the evenings here and I’m shocked at how colorful the hillside is across the valley from our house. It feels too early to let go of the long summer days, but this time of year, I always secretly get excited about autumn. Change is good, whether it’s the weather or a daily routine. (Unless you’re talking about a nap routine for your 6-month-old. Then change is NOT good.) But instead of looking ahead to what’s on the horizon (fall camping, Hawaii, Friendsgiving, family Christmas), I’d like to focus on what we have going on in the moment and find the joyful moments there. Here are a few from the last couple of weeks!

One year ago, we took an amazing trip through Idaho that started at this dreamy cabin.
Two years ago, I made these killer black bean burgers with Hatch chiles!
Three years ago, we had an ill-fated weekend on our property in Logan, Utah.
Four years ago, we took a staycation to Snowbird!
Five years ago, we were somewhere in Oregon during our multi-week camping road trip in Betty.
And this is what the view from our porch looks like today.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
