This month flew by! Two weekends of full guest rooms and a get-away to the desert, springtime celebrations and old friends, hiking and skiing and sunshine and even a little bit of snow. I love this time of year, when the days are getting warmer and longer. The world is coming back to life after winter… and so am I. Here’s what made me smile this week.
Loving our gift of bagels from New York friends. Like, daily.
Snowmelt from the Utah Olympic Park.
Good reminder. Be kind to yourself!
The chipmunks are back…and terrorizing Cholula.
Thankful for my friends.
Yes, please!
Stalking birds.
Chilly day comfort food: jalapeño mac n’ cheese!
Tangled.
He’s still finding snow to ski!
A sick day isn’t as bad with snuzzles.
Our friend, Spencer (left), famous in the Park Record.
Today is my little brother’s birthday. Love you, Matt!
Zzzzzzz.
Sharing the view with Allison.
Love on the trail!
Recipe hunting.
I can’t wait to tell you about this marinated steak salad with charred poblano sauce!
My edamame-chive toasts with ricotta and goat cheese are featured on Kitchen Daily!
One year ago, we had a tad more snow than we do now.
Two years ago, we were dancing to Toots and the Maytals in the sunshine.
Three years ago, I was telling Cholula a secret.
Four years ago, I was on my deathbed with the Black Lung (aka pneumonia).
Five years ago, Nancy was sporting blue hair and John’s face was naked.
And today, life is beautiful.
You know. Just the usual bliss.

I think I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again, how you find bliss in so many ways – big & small – on such a consistent basis is truly inspiring!!! I definitely think of you (not in a creepy way!) and your “bliss bits” when I feel like I’m losing focus or missing something in my day to day. It helps me to simply enjoy things a little more, feel things a little deeper, and gain a sense of presence in my every day experiences. Thank you so much!!!
That means so much. Thank you for your kind words! I’m so happy you feel inspired to look for the good things, too.
