It’s pouring outside today, with gropple and hail and snow mixed in. I’m actually embracing the chilly weather, when I’d usually be pouting about snow in May. I know these days are numbered, and the precipitation is making my yard happy and green. It’s about balance, something I’ve struggled with lately. It’s ok to have days that feel chilly or unmotivated or sad, because on the flip side, there are days full of warmth and energy and laughter. How wonderful to have the opportunity to experience it all! Take a peek at a few of the things that brought me joy this week.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Enjoy your blog so much. Like a drink of cool water in the desert sometimes. Love the pictures and the thoughts. Takes away the stress of life for a few minutes and that is so wonderful. Would love to see more pictures of your outside habitat. Your deck area looks so inviting… Thanks again. Keep them coming….
Kelley, thank you so much for reading! I’m sure there will be plenty of backyard photos to come soon, as the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors. Here’s a post from our summer party last year that shows the back area more….

Love the green buds popping up everywhere! It’s the same here in Chicago; it always seems to happen overnight and catch me off-guard each year!
It’s such a happy surprise, isn’t it?
