It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday!
November is upon us. It’s a slippery slope from here on out into 2014! It’s been an introspective week, full of multiple reminders that life is precious. Not everyone is on board with the philosophy I try to live by, but I believe that optimism is important- particularly during times of heartbreak. This week has made me remember to step out of my own little world and share as much of my heart with others as possible. I never regret taking a moment to pause and be grateful for every happy thing. Try it! Here are some of those things from the last seven days…
This is fun! The photo quality difference is massive.
Mini-me kitty cat.
Cholula was an extra spicy taco for Halloween!
So far, Stitch Fix rocks.
Fall hues.
Huevos de Juanny with turkey bacon.
Cholula and I have been hiking a LOT!
Wild and free.
I found the madlibs from our wedding! Tipsy guests said hilarious things…
I also found our “Mr. and Mrs.” forks. Awww.
A fun dinner out with friends ended with cocktails at High West Distillery. Yum!
It snowed a couple of times this week.
Snowy days are good baking days. I made healthy peanut butter chocolate muffins!
We used our lovebirds dinner plates. I adore them.
The ice crystals on our back patio formed in a crazy paisley pattern!
Cholula and her fox are inseparable.
Fiery sunset.
Fajitas are just FUN.
We finally received the official silver LEED certification status paperwork for our home!
Snowy sunrise view from the porch.
Snow hikes make her happy… and make me sore.
Bearded lady.
Orange much?
Cozy toesies.
Breakfast for dinner: frittata with shallot, broccoli, potato, tomato, and jalapeño.
She begged for so long that she started to doze off…
One year ago today, this was my scene. What?!
Happy honeymooners!
Two years ago, I was getting a brand new car! I love it.
Three years ago, John and I went to a lodge in Southern Utah. Crazy sky!
While we were there, this buffalo fell in love with me. No, for real.
And this morning’s hike was rewarded with a coconut latte and vegan blueberry-lemon scone.
You know. Just the usual bliss.

Your snow pictures are gorgeous! I miss snow storms (sometimes). Enjoy the new iPhone! I’m loving mine and agree the pic quality is much better 🙂
I’m shocked at how much better the camera is. I was using a pretty old iPhone though!
Can’t believe how much snow has blanketed Utah! Hope you’re doing okay, the frightening news bit sounds scary 😦 As for your philosophy, I think you’re absolutely right that it always helps to be grateful, especially in times of flux!
The snow comes and goes this time of year- we’ve yet to see the one that sticks around for the long haul, but it’s definitely coming!
The scary stuff isn’t here at home, thankfully- some illness and scares close to home, though.
The snow pictures are gorgeous! Hard to believe that about a year ago I was reading the wedding post!
I hope the frightening news isn’t breaking your heart. I live in the moment everyday too! Xxoo
A childhood friend lost his wife recently… my heart just breaks! Brings things into perspective.
Can you believe it’s been a year?!
I love your Cholula Taco… that’s the perfect costume for her!
She’s so spicy.
Love your pup as a taco – cute:) Your pup and the fox are in the same position – great capture! I wish you the best with what is going on around the home front:)
She’s such a ham! Maybe that should be her costume NEXT year.
Whenever I’m forgetting to be optimistic I think of you! Love the bliss bits 🙂 That beach photo almost brought me to tears…I want to be there SO bad.
Aw, thanks, Tobi! I’m glad these little lists inspire you to remember to keep your chin up. I know how hard it can be.
That honeymoon almost feels like it didn’t happen- SUCH a dream!
Love these lists!! Great photos as always!
Thank you! These lists make me happy!
