It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday!
October is here. Fall has arrived. Pumpkins are officially allowed- in my food, on my hearth. My favorite colors are everywhere- rusty reds, fiery oranges, golden yellows. Days are shorter and nights are colder. I’ll share more of my intentions for the season later this week. For now, take a peek at some of the things that have made me smile lately…
Sunset reflection on the porch.
Aww. Remember when we took Betty on a much-deserved date?
Sundown is a lovely time on the trails behind the house.
Um, I chopped 6 inches off of my hair.
John played peek-a-boo with a moose on a bike ride!
He sends me photos like this from his rides. Swoon.
Greenwich Harbor.
A spooky decanter set for Halloween-y happy hours!
I love the old, oddly shaped buildings in Boston.
Lobster and mushroom risotto with truffle oil.
This church was built in 1665. That’s not a typo.
I need this on my nightly dinner table.
I adore burrata. This could be a daily meal for me.
This window in the Beacon Hill ‘hood reminded me of Good Will Hunting.
I was obsessed with the brown velvet chair in our hotel room in Boston.
DIY Bloody Maries. You can add lobster, beef jerky… or a MINI CHEESE BURGER.
This worked and I got all of my photos back!
Short hair feels weird.
Park time instead of hike time while I’m in a fight with my foot.
A ladybug landed on my hand… this is it flying away. Cool!
Squash and apples.
Tofu lettuce wraps include LOTS of condiments.
Did somebody say it’s fall…?
The colors of my house make it always fall-appropriate. Just add pumpkins!
I save corks with dates on them.
One year ago, John caught a HUGE fish in Charleston!
Enjoying the view of Charleston last year.
Sunrise this morning.
You know. Just the usual bliss.

Happy Blissful Day!!!
Always! And to you. 🙂
First, I love your hair, second, we also keep all of our corks but we always forget to write the date on them and third, fall is my favorite time of year, pumpkin everything!!!!
I just made some maple pumpkin muffins that I’ll share soon!
Mmm… I’m doing some baking tomorrow… when we’re supposed to get our first snow!
We got ours last night. Like four inches. EEK
Wow, ours isn’t sticking to the ground just yet, but the snowflakes are some of the largest I’ve ever seen!
Lovely photos. Your hair is super cute short!
Thanks, Jorie! I may or may not already be regretting it but it’s only hair- it grows back!!
