It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday!
Farewell, July! This week finds the Casa de Howe filled with good friends and big laughs. Time seems to be better spent enjoying each other’s company or being outside than planning recipes or writing involved blog posts. That said, it’s been one blissful moment after another. Look!
Wild berry buckwheat waffles from the freezer are delish with honey and cinnamon.
“Please play with me.”
I took myself out for pork cheek carnitas tacos. YES.
Chair lift toes at Utah Olympic Park!
It was very cool– and it didn’t even rain on us.
View from the very top of the biggest ski jump. Yikes.
I loved cooking with Leslie!
It’s hard to get out of this bed sometimes.
“When you smile, the sun- it peeks through the clouds…”
View from the kitchen.
I put an egg on a pizza– and you should, too!
We should be friends with these people.
There are butterflies everywhere right now!
We spent a lot of time on the trail this week.
Honeybee huntress.
I made Mexican eggs! Tortilla, cheese, a fried egg, sautéed onion and pepper, tomato, herbs.
Wildflowers.
Store-bought flowers.
Wet dog on the bed! Wet dog on the bed!
Our little garden keeps giving us salads! See our first tiny zucchini?
I mean, THE EARS, you guys.
Summer nights are for entertaining on the deck.
My screen saver rotates through honeymoon photos from French Polynesia. Dreamy.
Amazing memories!
You know. Just the usual bliss.

Yummy photos! I loved the last two a lot….I’ve been dreaming of a beach vacay lately 🙂
I can’t even believe that trip really happened…
These pictures are all sooo beautiful! Also now I want tacos 🙂

Funny- ME TOO.
Great photos, great times, Awesome peek into your side of the world! Neat 🙂
Thank you for checking it out!
What camera do you use for your photographs?
It’s a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5. Just a point and shoot. Or my trusty iPhone!
I’m looking into getting a more professional camera (Olympus Digital) perhaps, as I am trying my hand at photography; you have captivating images on your blog! Keep up the good work. Thanks for the reply.
A “big girl” camera is on my wish list, for sure- but I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of photo I can take with this point and shoot! Good luck! 🙂
Great photos, Amber! The ski jump one…holy hell. I can’t even imagine. Your backdoor deck looks like the perfect setting for a dinner on a warm summer night.
Thanks, Jorie! Yes, just standing there made me feel dizzy and I don’t have a fear of heights AT ALL.
Me neither, Amber, and I could nearly feel the vertigo from there! How funny 🙂
