It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday! Here are the little bits from this week that made me smile.
*Montana Camping Edition!*
There are so many reasons why I love this.
Hours upon hours with a lap full of this.
Cozy.
Anticipating the first bite.
Bacon + camping = happy.
Looking for Papa.
I wish you could see this guy’s handlebar mustache and the dog in his canoe.
Happy me.
Wait, that’s not a dog…
Mountain wildflowers.
Not fake.
Feather on fire.
Just a casual afternoon stroll.
I promise we cleaned up our “food and odors.”
Ahhhhhhh.
Castaway.
Just like home.
The guardian. (Also known as the beast who barks at anything that moves.)
Temporary windstorm entertainment.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
Finally Cholula answered my prayers.
You know I grabbed FAR more than needed…
Oh you mean, you did the right thing?
I did the right thing like 50 times, right into my glove box.
Love your pups ears – one perked up, one crooked! That right there is bliss!
I know! I feel the same way! I keep praying that it stays lopsided because she is just so cute like that!
Love…I think you guys should just adopt me! Happy 4th and recovery from yest:)
Ha! Ya, we are trying to live it up while we can. Our semi-retired and childless days will come to an end at some point. Then I’ll gaze longingly at these photos. 🙂
One of the best hot sauces ever!
We kind of carry it wherever we go…
The burger looks aaaaaamazing, the camper is so super cute I might just join you one day soon and the pic of Cholula all wet waiting for papa… cutest pic evvvvvver! When do you want to do out blogging adventure ?
That would be so fun!!
Should we try to do it this week/weekend? Dessert madness?!
Sounds like a plan 🙂
Love your camping photos – my fav is the one with your dog looking out at the lake – AMAZING! Have a Beautiful Day:)
She was in heaven!
holy shit. cholula in little backpacking-sized packs? life just keeps getting better. i need to find me some of that. you guys remind me so much of my husband and I 12 years and 2 kids ago, right down to the shepherd mix, the montana trip, the nostalgically uninterrupted by the needs of two demanding children poker games and the groovy camper (though ours was an underpowered, throw-pillow-free though overly comfortable VW van). soak these moments in because they are the foundation of what you will look back on when the kids are hollerin’ – you will just know it as the ‘time Before’. good to have those important memories to draw from in the heart and soul of your relationship when the kids are making you crazy people. of course you can pay the kids back by dragging them backpacking. 😉
I think that’s why we have so much fun- we know this time in our lives is temporary! So we’re trying to live it up!
I would be equally happy in a VW van. Though I would have throw pillows.
Now THAT looks like a great way to spend the holiday! 🙂
We marked the map so we remember how awesome it was! We’ll head back sometime for sure.
I’ve never heard of that hot sauce! And I LOVE hot sauces!! I grow a few hot pepper plants (and tomatoes and herbs) on my balcony each summer. Last summer I tried a pepper called Fatalii for the first time. Amazing! My friend and I made a big batch of hot sauce from some of them and it was the tastiest sauce ever! All tomato-y and full of garlic and onion flavours. This year I’ve got the same plant as well as a pepper called Lucifer’s Dream 😀 I’m so excited. This year I’m gonna make as many batches of hot sauce as I can (and if my tomatoes are available at the same time as the peppers, I’ll use them in the sauce as well) and I’m gonna jar it up and have some for all year round (or until I use it all up!)–and give out to friends.
Oh and the picture of the fox is so cute 🙂
Maybe it’s not as popular in Canada- it’s everywhere down here. My dog is named Cholula! 🙂 John has grown hot peppers for years and makes hot sauce- this is our first year with no garden, having just moved in to a new house. Looking forward to next season’s hot stuff!
