It’s weird to type out 2015, isn’t it? But I am eagerly anticipating all that this new year will bring. Its first seven days have included time with old friends, time on the beach, time on a plane, time in the mountains, time in my kitchen, time with my hubby, and time snuzzling with Cholula. If the rest of the year is anything like this week, we’re going to be ok. Remember to pause and notice the small stuff this week. Here are some of the things that have had me smiling!
John caught this shot of a Charleston sunset after a day of fishing.
It’s a cool kid (with cool parents) who has this 45 on his wall.
New Year’s Day on the beach with a Bloody Mary!
Beach selfie.
A photo bomb by one of the Polar Plunge participants.
Shells crunching underfoot at the Battery.
Southern hibiscus.
Bliss.
My little brother posted this shot of us on Facebook for my birthday. LOOK AT HIM.
He was visiting my folks while we were in Charleston. Handsome boys!
Vibrant veggies in my Peanut Lime Tofu Stir-fry.
511 pages of magic.
I spy a rainbow! Such a happy surprise.
Snow donut! They happen when the snow starts to thaw and rolls down a hill.
One of my very favorite gifts this year: a tambourine from John.
I just learned that January 8 is National Bubble Bath Day! So on board!
One year ago, this was my New Year’s Day alarm clock. #crookedears
We went on a glorious hike near Sundance and Mt. Timpanogos to start the year.
Two years ago, I giggled on a Santa Monica Pier Ferris wheel for my birthday.
Three years ago, Cholula looked like this. OMG.
And this morning, we made omelets before work. YUM.
You know. Just the usual bliss.
Stay tuned for the Eastern Tour finale, a recap of NYE in Charleston, and some goals for age 40!
Happy New Year, friend! I can’t wait to see the bliss that this year brings for you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Happy New Year to you, too! xx
