Five miles from home.
Two hours. Three miles of hiking. 80 degrees. Fourteen types of wildflowers. Dozens of dancing butterflies. Endless songs from joyous birds. Six unsuccessful doggie/Mama self-portraits. Seven spots to dip paws in the creek. One thousand fluttering aspen trees overhead.
One human (me).
One happy dog.
One perfect afternoon.
