It’s BLISS BITS Wednesday!
Guys, May is almost OVER. After our long Park City winter, summer is truly here! It’s hard not to find something to smile about, even on down days. This line from a favorite childhood song has been on repeat in my head: “If you’re happy and you know it, then your life will surely show it…” Take a peek at my little bits of happy.
Flowers like the sun from Hot Hubby.
I took myself on a long walk around the green golf course.
My warm-weather, ‘chilling out at home’ lounge dress made its debut.
Remember this extra-garlicky pesto I made?
Al fresco dining is very romantic.
My tuckered-out family after a hike on the back hill.
Seriously, every morning.
I pay double at every lemonade stand.
The fox, guarding the closet.
John turned the leftover grilled salmon into a scrumptious little breakfast for me.
I want to pack a lunch and just hang out in the Park City Nursery all day.
The squirrel-huntress likes roaming the backyard.
In over our heads at Home Depot.
I couldn’t resist the crooked ear. I gave her a graham cracker.
Grilled mango shrimp with cilantro-coconut rice. YUM.
Coffee and my companion on a cloudy morning.
We hosted happy hour before dinner out with friends.
They brought us this lovely edible bouquet of herbs from their garden!
Taking in the view from the trail.
We are officially in love with the pink tree we planted for our wedding!
Nothing better.
I’m totally regretting giving away my key lime pie secrets.
This giant weed LOST.
I took a break from weeding and laid down under “our” tree. Swoon.
Siri’s response to “I love you.”
We walked with roadies down the street to a neighborhood party.
They had a taco cart at this party. I had 5. Don’t ask how many John had.
A teeny, tiny speed demon in the making.
She likes when we finally get out of her bed.
It got pretty stormy after the weekend!
My future garden’s temporary home.
I used the homemade pesto to make a yummy potato salad!
The first corn on the cob of the season was delish and sweet.
Date night last night to see an incredibly talented Nigerian rock band called “Bombino.”
Sigh.
You know. Just the usual bliss.

She probably follows our lead. It’s true that when she’s lazy on the bed, I’m right there with her…
Ahhh – animals are truly blessings that add to the fullness of our lives!
Couldn’t live without her!
