Baby, it’s cold outside.

It was a snowy Sunday.

Basically perfect for lingering in bed for awhile and in slippers for even longer. For bundling up in furry boots and strolling to the mailboxes to deposit words of holiday love and cheer to friends and family. For watching Cholula romp in fluffy frozen bliss in the snow, feeling a laugh bubble up from within at the sight of her doggy-smiles.

For warming up in the hot tub with a glass of wine and singing both duet parts of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” to myself. For football by the fire and delicious food from the freezer, for jammies by 5 ‘o clock. For snuzzling with a snoozy beast and a handsome husband.

I’ve got my love to keep me warm.

And my slippers. And the hot tub.

  1. I’m not sure that life gets any more snuggly/peaceful/blessed than this! I sure wouldn’t mind having that hot tub – to heck with the complains I’ve heard about maintenance. Having one is worth every second of upkeep!

    1. Funny you should say that- I think hot tub maintenance is easy if you keep up with it. If you slack on that, like we did, you have to call the maintenance guy to fix things up. Now it’s ready for using though- at the perfect time of the year!

      1. … maybe people I’ve known with hot tubs only said that the maintenance was a nightmare so their friends wouldn’t get their own! It kind of guarantees your house as the awesome party/gathering spot 🙂
